Internet setting: Static IP or DHCP

In this guide we will guide you on how to configure the connection type, Static IP or DHCP.

Good to know: to change this setting, you would need to enter the "System Functions" menu, not sure how? Please check our guide here.

In System functions menu, scroll down and press on "Ethernet".

 

 

In System functions, press on the bottom right arrow [>],and browse through the screens until the "Ethernet" function is present. Then, press the corresponding number on the pinpad to select "Ethernet".

In the "Ethernet" menu, press on "Configure Ethernet".

In the "Ethernet" menu, press on "Configure Ethernet".

In "Configure Ethernet", under the "Connection Type" section, mark the preferred connection type, and press "SAVE".

DHCP or Static IP

If you have chosen "DHCP"

  • Press "Save".
Keep in mind: The fields are not pre-filled; you must enter the addresses even if it appears to be already there. 

If you have chosen "Static" (Static IP):

Fill out the fields below:

  • IP address- Enter the IP address that matches the one used by the ECR.
  • Netmask- Enter your Netmask Value.
  • DNS 1- Enter your DNS 1 value. You can use Google's DNS, which is 8.8.8.8, if you'd like.
  • DNS 2- Enter your DNS 2 value. You can use Google's DNS, which is 8.8.4.4, if you'd like.
  • Gateway address- Enter your Gateway address value.

Then, press "SAVE".

In System functions, press on the bottom right arrow [>],and browse through the screens until the "Wi-Fi" function is present. Then, press the corresponding number on the pinpad to select "Wi-Fi".

In the "Wi-Fi" menu, hold a long press onto your used Wi-fi network until this menu appears (The one that is "Connected"). Press on "Modify network".

Here, press on "Advanced options".

Press on "IP settings" to reveal the drop down menu, and choose between "DHCP", or "Static".

DHCP or Static IP

If you have chosen "DHCP"

  • Press "Save".
