In this article, we'll uncover how Swish, once activated in the terminal, outlining its integration as an additional payment method in the payment flow.
A payment can be initiated from:
- Entering the amount in the POS application if using a standalone system.
- The ECR/POS system if using an integrated terminal.
- The POS Application in the terminal in the terminal itself.
Processing a payment
| When a payment is being processed, the amount to be paid is displayed along with the default payment method, which is a card payment. If the customer wishes to use swish instead, they can swipe on the terminal screen, and select Swish as their preferred payment method by pressing the corresponding icon. |

Upon selecting Swish, a new application opens, displaying the Swish QR code. The customer then scans this code with the swish app with their smartphone.

The customer will complete the transaction on their end using their smartphone. Once completed, the terminal will provide a response, confirming the transaction's result.
