Payment Application Release Notes
Version: 2.0.15.24
Release Date: 2026-04-30
Customer Impact Statement
- Enables enhanced customer identification using PAR across systems. Requires
terminal configuration and integration updates to correctly handle the PAR tag in
transaction messages.
Features
Automatic Host Logon After Scheduled Restart
- The terminal now performs an automatic host logon after the daily restart to
ensure updated configurations are applied. This occurs only when the terminal is
in a logged-out state, and the Store & Forward queue is cleared beforehand to
maintain consistency (ID: 47987).
Support for Payment Account Reference (PAR) Retrieval
- Added support for retrieving and supplying Payment Account Reference (PAR) during transactions when enabled in the terminal configuration. PAR can be obtained via online lookup or directly from the card chip when available (ID: 46750).
Configurable Offline Authorization Rules for Network Disruptions
- Introduced configurable rules to allow offline authorization during online disturbances. These rules can be controlled by brand and MCC via Payment Application settings, supporting compliance with local regulatory requirements (ID: 43961).
Improvements
Improved NEXO Compatibility with Local ECR Integrations
- Enhanced NEXO integration to improve compatibility with local ECR systems. (ID: 46750).
Optimized Memory Usage in PAaS Modes
- Improved memory handling in PAaS modes by addressing inefficiencies and optimising resource usage. This reduces the risk of memory-related issues during operation (ID: 48361).
Enhanced ECL Logging for Store & Forward Processing
- Improved ECL logging and messaging when sending Store & Forward transactions online. The terminal now notifies the ECR when retries are ongoing and when processing is completed (ID: 46542).
Fixes
Resolved Launcher Issue on Android 12 Terminals
- Fixed an issue where C150 and C20 terminals running Android 12 could get stuck on the West Launcher during startup. The application now proceeds correctly after launch (ID: 45155).
Prevented Multiple Views on Bottom Drawer Double Tap
- Fixed an issue where multiple screens could open when repeatedly tapping the bottom drawer used for selecting Visa, BankAxept, or APM options. The drawer now responds correctly to single interactions (ID: 45973).
Corrected Transaction Descriptor Reassignment
- Fixed an issue where the terminal failed to reassign the transaction descriptor after an incorrect transaction was initiated from the ECR. The correct transaction type is now applied reliably (ID: 47619).
Resolved Empty Gratuity Values Display
- Fixed an issue where gratuity options appeared empty if selectable values were not defined in the configuration. The application now handles such cases correctly (ID: 47790).
Resolved Language Update Not Reflecting in Menu
- Fixed an issue where changing the default language did not update the terminal menu display. The selected language is now applied correctly across the interface (ID: 47631).
Resolved Incorrect Rejection of BankAxept Transactions
- Fixed an issue where BankAxept transactions were incorrectly rejected when using a Swedish Terminal ID with Swedish currency. Transactions are now processed correctly under these conditions (ID: 47632).
Disabled Bluetooth to Prevent Crashes on A6 Terminals
- Bluetooth functionality has been disabled on A6 terminals to prevent system instability caused by voice guidance requests from C10 devices. This ensures stable operation across terminals (ID: 48239).
Improved Handling of Incomplete Transactions
- Fixed an issue where transactions could remain in an uncertain state if the terminal powered off or the application closed before receiving a response. A reversal mechanism now ensures such transactions are handled correctly (ID: 48360).
Fixed Customer Inquiry Display After Transaction
- Fixed an issue where the customer inquiry message disappeared after a transaction if no input was provided. The message is now retained, and the display size has been increased for better visibility (ID: 48435).
Payment Screen Restored When AppX Is Unresponsive
- Fixed an issue where the payment screen did not appear if AppX was unresponsive. The transaction now proceeds based on the configured “AppXTransactionTimeout”, ensuring continuity after the timeout is reached (ID: 4797).
Known Issues in This Release
Intermittent Card Scan Failure During Transactions
- There is an intermittent issue where the terminal may fail to read card data while on the card scan screen during a transaction. A fix is planned for an upcoming release (ID: 48394).
