Customer impact statement
In this release, we completely reworked how the payment application will act when used in an environment with unreliable network. These changes will improve the sync between the payment status on the terminal and the host.
We have also completely revamped the system menu in the payment application. We pre-released this functionality to some of our partners with version 2.0.12 but is made globally available from 2.0.13
Important updates
- New PAaS version
We have added two new functions in the API. The ability to set GSM APN and the ability to hide some menu items in the payment application. The API version required for this functionality is: 1.10. Read more about it over at GitHub. - New system menu
This release adds a complete overhaul of the system menu. The old menu that required button navigation is replaced with a new, updated touch-based menu. An overview and manual for the new menu can be found here. - New tipping layout
In preparation for the upcoming C150 terminal with a touch-only interface we have implemented a new tipping layout. A layout that will allow for a better overall user experience.
The new layout will allow for selection of configured values or manual amount in both % and amount input.
Configuration of the values is defined in the all new tip config menu.
Important to note about the tipping change is that we move away from entering total amount in favor of only entering tipping amount.
